Meet 5 week old Baby Sawyer... beautiful, perfect, about 8 lbs of pure cuteness. A client of mine (Sawyer's aunt) contacted me recently and asked if I could do a session for little Sawyer to capture all of her sweetness while she is so little. I was honored to be the one to capture Sawyer in her early days for her Daddy and her loving famiy, and hoping to honor her late mother in a few of the images as well. While Sawyer's family has been through a crazy emotional journey over these past 5 weeks or so... it was amazing to see how they all work together to take care of this sweet little blessing.
Sawyer was born on March 12th... her momma, a beautiful young woman, who was a 2nd grade teacher (like me), sadly succumbed to a pulmonary embolism 12 hours after Sawyer's birth, which ended up taking her life a few days after that. My client, Jordan, mentioned to me that her sister always wanted to be a mother... and that they are all so happy that she was able to achieve that in her far too short life. Sweet baby Sawyer is just as precious as can be and is surrounded by love from her daddy and grandparents, friends, cousins, aunts, uncles, etc. In fact I met several family members who had stopped by the house while we were doing the shoot. It is amazing to see the wonderful network of support they have.
I truly hope that you all will enjoy having these images of Sawyer. It was my pleasure to photograph her and I am so glad we could include some special photographs to honor Sawyer's momma too. Thank you for choosing me to document this sweet little miracle baby!

Oh goodness - what a horrible tragedy! But what a wonderful idea to capture her late mama in portraits. Love the key shot and the lime green - I bet Sawyer will treasure these when she gets older.

Wow, what a moving and sad story. Sawyer is a gorgeous, sweet little girl and I know her mama must be so proud. Kudos to the family for all surrounding this precious girl with love, and of course being there for daddy as well. Beautfiul work, Kristi!

Thank you so much for these wonderful photos. We knew Sawyer's mom as a baby and Sawyer looks so much like her, a beautiful little girl. These brought tears to my eyes but I am so thankful to have them.
